Ponies, Carols & Christmas Magic

This month we were delighted to welcome John and Elaine from Therapy Ponies Scotland back to Hillside, along with their wonderful ponies, Wilson and Flicker, and their adorable little dog, Fudge. The residents’ faces lit up as they spent time stroking the ponies and chatting with their visitors. The warmth and calm that Wilson and Flicker bring is something really unique, and their visits always bring smiles to the home.

The festivities continued as our church friends joined us for a beautiful nativity and carol service. The lounge was alive with residents and staff singing away, laughing and soaking up the Christmas spirit. Seeing so many familiar faces gathered to share the Christmas story was truly uplifting. To make the afternoon even more special, our friends brought thoughtful gifts for each of our residents, which were gratefully received.

It is moments like these that remind us what the Christmas season is all about, connection, kindness and community. A huge thank you to Therapy Ponies Scotland and to our dedicated church family for making this festive period at Hillside so memorable.
